Trying another new box! Yarn Crush : Here is the link to my unboxing: https://youtu.be/CSzEiJl5eo0 Items in the box  Hanks of Lichen and Lace in Rustic Heater (3 Hanks)  Yarniverse Magazine September 2019  Yarn Crush Roller Ball and Highlighter Combo Pen  Thoughts:  As someone who is starting to do more yarn crafts I was very excited to try this subscription box but was disappointed in it.  I had chosen surprise me for the box I was sent the natural set, however I do not like the colors.  The fact that the Hanks are also 100% wool is not helpful either.  In the magazine you get patterns for a hat, mitts, 2 pillows, 3 socks.  That's a nice amount of patterns but unfortunately I don't love any of them.  Enough yarn is include to make only certain products depending on weather you want to knit or crochet. So if you would like to make something else from the book you have to find other yarn.  Final thoughts In total I pai

Annie's Caring Crochet Club

Image
Another new kit! This time I thought I would try Annie's Caring Crochet Club. This club sends you a kit every month and you can make the items and send them to a charity if you would like. I only am trying this kit club once because I received a coupon so I paid about 6 something for this kit. Here is my unboxing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zlk7bt9Uq2k  Its a very short video. Items received:  Directions to make two Chemo Caps  Two Skeins of yarn  Crochet Stitch Guide  3 Crochet Hooks  Needle  Thoughts I love the color of the yarn that was sent in the kit I could see myself making these Its very nice that they sent me extras. The extras were included as part of the promo that was emailed to me. There is no guarantee that you will receive the extras I got if you want to try this kit club. I canceled after this one because I wasn't going to pay 19.99 a month for the kits after this. Final verdict If you are ok with the 19.99 price tag I s

Darn Good Yarn Yarn of the month box

Image
Another new box! Darn good yarn of the month box See my unboxing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YArSoCL2P1Y What was in my box?: a set of knitting needles and a crochet hook (value on box 19.99). It says these are handmade from India. They are dyed purple so they have that Ombre effect! a booklet has a pattern for crochet and knitting. A skein of yarn Thoughts on box: Again I tried this box because I had a coupon. Im glad I tried it, that's how I learn what kind of items I like and what I don't. My favorite item in the box was the hook and needles You do get a gift in the box each month and these were worth well over the cost of the box. The patterns I don't see me making. The yarn I don't see me using. The yarn is silk and anything made with it you have to handwash. I prefer washable yarn. Would I recommend this box? No I would not. Its one of these you get what you pay for. The box only cost $10 dollars. That price is rarely se

Annie's Hook and Needle Club: Kit of the month club

Trying a new kit of the month club. I've been wanting to learn Crochet for some time now. So I am trying some yarn boxes/kits. I chose this one because I was able to get an offer on Facebook for my first kit for $1.99 + tax and shipping of course. You can see me opening the envelope/unboxing it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyoyIIHI3iY Things in the envelope A receipt A Stich Guide The kit What is this month's kit? This months kit is Learn a Stich Dish Cloths It contains: A book/leaflet with directions for 3 dishcloths. There are patterns for crochet and knitting. That is a nice feature to have because I do know how to knit. 3 skeins of yarn: one blue, one orange, one green. Thoughts on kit: I like it and cant wait to try and make these. Would I recommend these kits? If you have a coupon go for it, otherwise skip it. After this first kit I canceled my next kits since it was going up to 19.99 a month. I think that is expensive.

Witch Casket August 2019

Last blog post for Witch Casket as I have ended this subscription. View my unboxing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEQDti30NMU Box Contains: Little Book of plant magick custom bamboo eco pen Live life in full bloom Pouch Wooden Elements Ammulet in Pouch Elemental Candle Kit naturally magic enamel pin connect with nature parchment scroll Mugwort Green Chert stone and Info card Loose Leaf Tea Mint Green Tea Insence sticks Nadita wood spice Art Print Thoughts on box: This box was better than July's, I will say that. I still was not in love with this one. Items I will actually use/keep from this box: The pen The pouch (my favorite item) The tea The art print These items are very useful or I just liked them a lot. Issues with this box: It's expensive. Over $40 for people in the U.S. They need better directions or descriptions for items as I thought: the candle kit was to  make candles it was not. I don't know what mugwort is (its jus

Quilty Box Jinny Beyer Box 1

Today I am reviewing another quilt box. Here is the link to my unboxing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsHra47Aprs Whats in the box? Aurifill Thread in Maroon Jinny Breyer Palette collection info packet Jinny Breyer Quarterly Box Book Stilletto and Pressing tool Jinny Breyer Palette Pixie Strips Jelly Roll Harlequin Charm Quilt Pattern Woven Rib Quilt Pattern Thoughts on the box: I had heard about Quilty Box and wanted to try it. I got an email about a sale they were having so I brought this box at a big discount. If this box would not have been on sale, I most likely would have not bought it in the first place. Overall I was not impressed with the items in this box. Most of the patterns and information was just printed from the computer or copied out of something and put into my box. I am not ok with paying for items like that. If I wanted to I could find the items and print/copy them myself. The items should have been in a nicely printed book or brochure/leaf

Mary Maxim 2019 Plastic Canvas Kit of the Month Club August 2019

So trying a kit club this month! Ive started working on some more plastic canvas crafts but I am having issues finding things in the stores. For this reason, I am trying this club. You can see me opening the envelope here: https://youtu.be/cMn2wNWYCY4 This months kit is Jack O'Latern Baskets It includes:  Plastic canvas needle stem felt Yarn in Black, Orange, and Rust Pattern booklet Thoughts: I have not opened the kit yet to start it. However me first impression is what a nice kit! I really like it and can not wait to start making! The project is going to be so cute! I paid 9.99 for this kit, plus shipping (which I forget the price. I also used a coupon code. I feel like I got a good deal overall. After your first month it goes up to 12.99. This is a bit higher so I will see if I stay with it or not. 12.99 is a bit high but I know I will try it for at least one more month. Final verdict: If you like plastic canvas or would lik

My second Witch Casket review is here! Watch the unboxing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJAR_f8bx34 Items in box: Divination Dice and Cards Altar Cloth Candle Protection Charm Bag Kit Casket Crew Enamel Pin Pentacle and other Protection Aids Scroll Die Cut Sticker Rough Cut Selenite Wand Lucky Dragon Hyson Loose Leaf Tea Incense Sticks 2 Art Prints The day after this box came I also received a necklace in the mail that they had forgotten to include in the box. Thoughts: This box was a real let down all gray and dull compared to last months box which was interesting and purple. Seems each box has a color theme. I will say that the box smelled amazing to me this month. I will be keeping the candle, scroll, and tea. Everything else not sure what to do with. I will figure out something. Not crazy about the necklace either. Final verdict: This month I can not recommend. You still do get a lot of stuff but if you are like me and just like learning about w

Will refer to it many times in the future. It is a very useful item. Incense: Smells good but I don't see me using them. Massager: Don't see me using Spoon is cute not sure how I can use it though Stone is nice and interesting but don't see me keeping I know someone who could use

My Lemon Crate-September

I have reviewed this box before here on my blog. I was happy with the 1st one I purchased I decided to get their other leftover box. You can view my unboxing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIvkDguZrAc As you can see there was a lot of stuff in the box: (In no particular order) Castile soap aloe vera white vinegar thieves cleaner olive oil hydrogen peroxide feminine wash containers soap nuts Epson salts scent booster bag recipe cards/directions empty bag essential oil samples These items are all sent in little containers. I know I will have fun and enjoy making these items: 1. Stain Remover 2. Feminine Wash 3. Scent Booster Im not sure if I will make this: 1. Soap nuts bag Final thoughts: All in all I really liked this box but I cant justify starting a subscription to this box because o the size of the products and Im kind of not into making bath and body type of things at the moment however my taste always change. The past boxes are a goo

JK Rowling Wizarding World Box-The Beast within

I am a huge Harry Potter Fan. When Fantastic Beast came out I was not sure about it but I of course bought the book when it came out and loved it! Why wouldn't I? Anyway, when I saw this box I knew I needed to try it. Was disappointed in this box. You can view my unboxing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZezAP8fGGwk Thoughts on the box: (In bullet points, for a change) Outside of box was dented but that can happen in shipping. Inside of box was beautiful. Wizarding World foldout explaining products was very helpful (nice feature). Liked the theme of the box overall Box seemed overall geared for males. All genders like Fantastic Beast please keep that in mind in the future. Items in the box: Maledictus shirt: Got the size right but I thought the shirt was very ugly overall. Kelpie Mug: This item was damaged when I opened it the 1st day. They was a scratch in it or something. Loot Crate was very awesome about it and sent me a replacement right away! Sadly, not a

This is my review for the April 2019 Box. What was in my box? A card telling you the items are in the box. The card also tells you what the project is for the month There is a picture of the finished project and on the back the pattern to make it. A little bag that includes two pieces of Velcro four fat quarters from Gingerbread bakery What is the project for this month? A roll and go placemat and napkin You can view me unboxing this box here: https://youtu.be/32k_jap44wo My thoughts: Im not impressed or excited about this months project. Im thinking about maybe unsubscribing but I am not sure yet. This is certainly a project I haven't heard of I don't feel however that were get much in the box for the price. However I will say that the fat quarters are very cute. If interested in subscribing, please visit this link: http://www.sewersclub.ca/?r=57976&s=5583

However I am not a big fan of the quote and I find the lettering rather hard to read. Never be Cruel

Pinchme Box

Image
This is a box of free samples. You can view my unboxing here: https://youtu.be/gMVR58CoypI The box was very hard to get open but I liked the look of it very cute. (The blue one). What was in my box? :  Four ads for various items three of which were for things in the box. There will two coupons only one I will most likely use.  Lumify Eye redness relieve eye drops: It is a sample size bottle I do not think I will use it. Native Deodorant: Coconut and vanillia scent , its tiny only .35 oz. Will most likely keep and used this one.  Can of Fancy Fest Gourmet Naturals: Natural Wild Alaskan Samon and shrimp recipe This will come in handy! One of my cats I know will enjoy this very much.  Thoughts on box:  It was free. That's always good but was not impressed so don't think I will try this site again. Not to mention that this site doesn't work for me anymore. Would I recommend it?  If you want to try a free box go for it the next one should be offered aro

Creeper Crate July 2018 Items

Image
I recently discovered Creeper Crate while looking for unique boxes. The stuff looked great. I thought I would look at past boxes to try things out. Was I excited when I found out they had a Vincent Price Box from July 2018! I love Vincent Price, he is one of my favorite actors. Of course I needed this box, unfortunately not all of the items where available. The pin was sold out and the t-shirt was not available in my size. Here is the link to my unboxing of the items I got: https://youtu.be/qcs2TvAdDXo Now since I bought the items I knew what was coming but I was still so excited!!! My box came as a white box that said Creeper Crate (in a coffin) and then the box was spattered with blood it was really cool! Items in my package/box: A card that thanked me for my order. When I turned it over it had Randy's Rules for surviving a horror movie. The card was hilarious and unexpected but I loved it.   Now on to what I actually bought: The Inventor Iron on Patch by Dem

Sewers Club Feb. 2019

Image
My very quick unboxing of this box can be found here: https://youtu.be/y4xtt_pPJlA This is one craft box I enjoy very much. Each month they send you a different and useful product to make. This months box was An Amanda Jane Seven pocket work Apron. This month the card and the fabric were all tied up in a bow. That was nice but packaging and stuff like that for the most part doesn't really affect my views. I know some though who that kind of aspect maters a lot. Still it was nice receiving my package like that. Picture from sewers club site. It contained: A card telling you what was in the box 27 inches of Northcott Fabric in Red 32 Inches of Lets Go Glamping Fabric by Anne Rowan Thoughts on items: I liked the red fabric it was very nice. The glamping fabric is not my favorite print. I can use both fabric though and make the apron. I can consider this make practice apron. It would make a great gift. This looks like a very fun and easy product to make. If you wou

PreCuts Quilt Box Feb. 2019 Classic Box

Image
New Box alert!!! Last month I saw a couple videos of this box being unboxed. It looked like maybe a nice box but it was the modern box and I wasn't digging the pattern etc. I thought looking at the website wouldn't hurt and it didn't because I discovered they had more than just that subscription. They have the classic box, the modern box, and the table runner club to subscribe to. I could not find a video for the classic box anywhere last month. So I thought I would try it this month.  Im glad I did. (Picture is from Precuts Quilt Shop site) Jan. 2019 was their 1st released box and all they put out was a modern stash builder box. I must say all in all this is my favorite crafting/quilting box that I am reviewing so far! Here is a link to my unboxing: https://youtu.be/2fdnFT9D4wU Quick musings/thought on items in the box: A very nice professionally made brochure: This tells you everything in the box. Aurifill 50W thread : value $3.15

Sew Sampler Feb. 2019

Image
Here is a link to my unboxing: https://youtu.be/c1DnSTbOZs4 This is my second and most likely my last Sew Sampler Box. Its a nice box but I only see one thing I would really keep/ actually use here. The item (I will discuss them all below) is less than the value of the box so it doesn't really pay. This months theme was topical oasis. Quick thoughts on the items: Sun Print Charm Packs by Allison Glass   $19.96 Value  You got two of these packs in the box they are for making the pattern but I don't see myself making the pattern they sent.   Mai-tai quilt Pattern $ 9.98 value  Pattern is very colorful and different as you can see from my unboxing. Its just not my style.   Pineapple Quilt Block Foundation Paper $7.98  I don't paper piece so again I don't see me using this item. Add A Quarter 6" Plus Pink Ruler $8.98  Its nice but again I don't see me using the item. Alex Anderson 4-In-1 Essential Sewing Tool

Creative notions box Feature and thoughts

Image
So I discovered this box several months ago. I got the boxes for September, October, November, and December. Again these boxes I bought for a gift. This time my gift receiver keep some items but then gifted other items. This is a picture of what the cute box looked like. Subscription cost is $35 a month. In each box you received several fat quarters, thread, snips, a yummy treat, and/or other items. You also got a charm which after 6 months you got a bracelet, pin or something to put your charms on. Of course I didn't keep up with the subscription for that long so I never got a charm holder. The box seemed nice and you got a lot of nice things but my friend and I were like what to do with these items. It would have been nice if in each box they had a kit to make something and not just quilting items. In one of the box there was a pattern but the fabric did not seem to work with the pattern. Personally, I don't think the box was worth it. I have seen unboxings o

So don't you hate it when you have other crafters in the family and they take your crafting items! That's what happened to me before I got a chance to film an unboxing. Quilter's Candy Box December 2018

Image
This is actually my second Quilters Candy Box I didn't get a chance to review the October one. I trying something different I filmed this unboxing. Please view this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6it_JfM6nRU This month theme was all black and white I wasn't really thrilled about any of the items. Favorite item from this month's box: The chocolate. Items in the box: Quilt Pendant Necklace  Thoughts:  It was cute but just not my style.  Quilt Block Socks by moda  Thoughts: Unique item  I don't think  you would find these in stores that I know of   I do not see me wearing these.  Two Urban Cottage Charm Packs by the Urban chicks Thoughts: Print is ok  Im not exactly sure what I will do with these or how I would use them  Magnolia Quilt Pattern Looks easy enough to make  Not the kind of pattern I see myself making Milk Chocolate Caramels 3 of them in their package  My favorite item from this months box  They w
