Sticth Fix #1

Another clothes subscription service I have decided to try is Stitch Fix.

Stitch Fix is different in that they provide their styling service for men, women, and kids.

Basic Facts: (from their website)
1. They charge $20 styling fee.
2. You can chose subscriptions of every 2-3 weeks, every month, every other month, orevery three months (I chose every 3 months).
3. For men and women's subscription you get 5 items. For kids you get 8-12 items.

Why did I try Stich Fix?
1. Again it was fun, and I wanted to try something new.
2. Brand recognition, I'd heard of Stich Fix and wanted to try it.
3. I was again given a code from someone to try this so I got $25 off my first box

What was in my fix?

A postage paid return envelope.

This feature seems standards in most styling services. I love be provided with this feature because it is so easy and so nice. So thank you Stitch Fix!

A Styling page.

This is a very nice and cool feature to be provided with. The note you get from your stylist makes the whole thing seem very personal (mine is pictured in the upper right hand corner).

The rest of the sections are outfit suggestions! They focus on one piece that in you fix for each section and what you might be able to pair items with.

The sections can be easily torn apart for easy access so you can take you style inspiration with you anywhere!

This feature makes me feel as if they go above and beyond and actually care about what you may like.

A welcome card

I don't know if you get one with every fix. Since this was my first one I assume that's why the card was there.

A price list
Again another common feature in many subscription boxes. It tells you what the item is and its price.

The items
Pictures are taken from the feedback part of my stich fix account. My camera is horrible and distorts the colors of the items.

41 Hawthorn Jarred Lace Detail Cap-Sleeve Blouse: OH MY... $58

Size of this blouse was 2X.

When I saw this blouse it was love at first site. I tired it on it fit well.

It was unique and would be great from work or a special occasion.

The lace was beautiful however that was part of the problem. I was very worried that this lace would get snagged on things like the zipper or the tiny hooks in the back that it also had. I did not want to chance that. I also thought the blouse was very expensive.  I had asked for the lowest prices they could go. So a little disappointed about price.

Keep or return?
Returning, even though I love it, because of my reservations and the price I am returning it.

Papermoon Marisol Mixed Material knit top: …$34 dollars (bit high for a top)

This top was also a size 2x.

It fit very well and was also love at first site!

It was also a unique top plane on front and white polka dots on the back. I thought it was cute.

The top would be very nice for work.

I do think $34 is high for a top like I said above.

Keep or return?

KEEPING!!! I know all my readers my be like you say price is to high way are you keeping?

Well I was given $25 to try my frist box so with the $25 dollars you can take off an item this would make the shirt only $9. Not a bad price!

I received a pair of shoes in my fix!

Shoes from Stitch come in a bag like this:

What shoes are in the bag?

MIA Nakema Laser Cut Flats: Ouch $49

These shoes were also love at first site!

They were a size 9. They fit well.

Wasn't in love with the pricing on this shoe 49 dollars is very expensive.

They would be very nice for work or going out.

I also had some reservations about these shoes:
1.  I could not wear them anytime of year.
2. The color while awesome, would get dirty very quickly.

Keep or returning?
Returning, while I love them and could work I around my reservations I just cant justify the price.

Makers Lianne Skinny Jeans: What?! $48

Size 20W. Fit very well, was surprised about this because sometimes skinny jeans don't look well on plus sized people.

I also really liked these jeans as well. They were comfortable and looked very nice. Again I could wear these to work or on the go.

Liked that they were a darker denim. I would say maybe a medium wash.

Keep or return?

Returning, again I cant justify that price for a pair of jeans.

Renee C Leena Printed Skirt: Woah!  $48

Size 2X. Fit well and was comfortable.

When I pulled this skirt out of the box. I was like Oh my this is the only thing I didn't love. I thought it was ugly, pattern wise.

It would be nice for work. However, it would get dirty very fast.

Keep or return?
Returning of course! Hated the pattern. It just wasn't me.

Prices
As discussed above many of these prices were very high and I have asked for lower pricing. I do try to price match but of the few things I could find the prices were the same. Compared to other boxes I have tried the pricing is relatively and unfortunately the same.

Grade I would give Stitch Fix
I would give them an A!

Out of all the boxes I have tried I like Stitch Fix the best. I actually bought something from them. Using their awesome $25 dollar credit on one item! (Thanks Stitch Fix).

I could have had 25% off and %25 off if I keep all five items but that of course did not happen.

They only reason they didn't get an A+ is because I was disappointed in pricing.

Overall thoughts

I would highly recommend Stitch Fix.
